My client was arrested by a local sheriff's department and taken to jail on suspicion of DUI. At the jail he was searched and then strip searched. The police claimed he had made threats of self injury. However, I had previously made a FOIA request for such materials and none existed at the time of the FOIA request. Further, I had all discovery from the underlying incident and no references were made in them. My client advised he was strip searched immediately after refusing to submt to a breathalyzer request. The case was settled for a confidential substantial amount.
